My artwork expresses the ineffable emotions felt by pondering one’s self. When deep in thought expressions go blank and outward responses become none existent. 

The distant stare into nothingness shown in each painting is unique to its subject for it is the door into the self. I hope to indict an eerie yet calm feeling in the viewer through cold and warm muted colors, as if to open space for said introspection. The ambiguous and heavy expressions invite the viewer to project their own sentiments onto it, creating the ponderation of their own self.  

Upon reflecting on who I am and what I am meant to become, I found feelings unknown to words and began to express them with oil paint on cotton canvases and paper. While deep in thought, I found a peace interwind in a fog that could cover the tallest of trees, yet it was in that unknown and uncertain place, that I was able to meet myself once again. ​​​
